San Francisco Police Academy’s 288th Class Graduation #014-26

The San Francisco Police Department’s 288th Recruit Class will be sworn in on Monday, June 15, 2026, by San Francisco Police Chief Derrick Lew. There are 17 graduating SFPD recruit officers. Two graduates will be University of California Police Department officers. Seven graduates are bilingual and fluent in languages such as Spanish, Cantonese, Vietnamese, and Hebrew.
The 288th Recruit Class has nine members who have earned bachelor’s degrees and four who have earned associate degrees. Members of the class have previously been employed in professions such as Police Service Aides, 911 dispatchers, EMTs, and banking, to name a few. Two officers have served in the United States military in the US Marine Corps and the US Coast Guard.
The 288th Recruit Class has completed 26 weeks of training. Following graduation, the newly sworn SFPD officers will continue at the Academy for five additional weeks of training before beginning a 16-week field-training program at various district stations.
