SFPD Arrests Multiple Chain Snatching Robbery Suspects #26-060

Robberies Occurred in the Ingleside District

Since the end of April through mid-May, investigators assigned to the SFPD Robbery detail have been actively investigating a series of chain snatch robberies involving an unknown male suspect and a black Honda Pilot. During the investigation, they learned that the suspect was possibly involved in three other robbery incidents spanning throughout the Ingleside District.

On May 22, 2026, officers assigned to the Real Time Investigations Center (RTIC) notified the SFPD Citywide Plainclothes that the black Honda Pilot believed to be connected to the series was seen in the area of Geneva Avenue and Lisbon Street. Plainclothes officers immediately located the vehicle and began their surveillance with the assistance of the Drone as a First Responder (DFR). Officers observed the vehicle slow rolling past bus stops and closely watching pedestrians in the area.

At the intersection of Mission and 24th streets, officers observed one of the male occupants exit the suspect vehicle and board a MUNI bus. As the bus continued traveling on Mission Street, the suspect vehicle followed closely behind. Eventually, two unknown female occupants exited the suspect vehicle and boarded the same MUNI bus. When the bus came to a stop in the area of Mission and Tingley streets, the male suspect ran off the bus and fled on foot. The two female suspects ran off the bus as well and re-entered the suspect vehicle.

Officers were able to confirm that a robbery had occurred on the bus and that the male suspect snatched a gold chain off the victim’s neck before fleeing.

The male suspect was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, and the remaining four suspects in the suspect vehicle were taken into custody at Alemany Boulevard and Tingley Street. The suspects were positively identified as:

  • 21-year-old Norlan Rivera of San Francisco

  • 29-year-old Emerson Melendez of San Francisco

  • 25-year-old Krissia Martinez-Alvarez of El Sobrante

  • 19-year-old Yanira Mejia Ramirez of San Francisco

  • 18-year-old Monica Bojorquez Martinez of San Francisco

All suspects were transported to San Francisco County Jail and booked for 211 2nd degree PC, 182(a)(1) PC, and 496(a) PC.

While arrests have been made, these cases remain open and active. Anyone with information is asked to contact SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD.
