SFPD Investigates Taraval District Homicide 25-095

Suspect Arrested

On July 26, 2025, at approximately 4:12 p.m., San Francisco Police officers responded to Ocean Ave. and Lee Ave. regarding a stabbing. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male suffering from an apparent stab wound. Officers rendered aid, and medics arrived on scene, who transported the victim to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. Despite the life-saving efforts of emergency responders and the medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased in the hospital.

Additional officers arrived on scene and detained a person who matched the suspect description a short distance from the stabbing. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect, who was identified as 29-year-old male Sean Collins of San Francisco.  

The SFPD Homicide Detail responded to the scene and is leading the investigation.

Collins was transported to San Francisco County Jail, where he was booked for homicide (187(a) PC).
