SFPD Investigates Central District Homicide 25-088

On July 3rd, 2025, at approximately 2:22 a.m., San Francisco Police officers from Central Station responded to Vandewater and Powell streets for a well-being check for a person who was on the ground. Officers arrived on the scene and located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers rendered aid, and medics arrived on the scene, who transported the victim to the hospital for life-threatening injuries. Despite the lifesaving efforts of the emergency responders and the medical staff, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased in the hospital.

The SFPD Homicide Detail is now leading the investigation.
