Felon in possession of a firearm

Mission housing officers observed a known subject and Army Street gang member in the Bernal Dwellings public housing. A records check showed the subject, Suspect 1, to have two active warrants for his arrest and to be on felony probation for 487(c) PC. A traffic stop of Suspect l's vehicle was made. Suspect 1 was arrested for the warrants. During a probation search of the vehicle, a loaded Springfield XD .40 pistol was located in Suspect l's backpack. Along with the firearm, they located over a kilogram of marijuana, 103 Xanax pills, 16 Ecstasy pills, 5 hydrocodone pills, and 17 grams of cocaine. Suspect 1 was charged with the firearm and drug charges as well. Suspect I is in custody.
