The 78th Annual Police-Fire-SheriffMass, which will commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the Herbert Hotel Fire and the 25th Anniversary of September 11, will be held as follows:

Sunday, September 13, 2026

9:30 AM

St. Cecilia Catholic Church

2555 17th Avenue, San Francisco

The traditional group photo will be taken at 9:20 AM. If participating in the group photo, please arrive by 9:15 AM. 

Mass begins at 9:30 am with a reception following. 

This event, while celebrated in the Catholic Mass tradition, is for all faiths and is dedicated to remembering and honoring the ultimate sacrifice made by the police officers, sheriffs deputies, and firefighters of San Francisco. 

Uniform of the Day:

  • Non-Commissioned Officers: Class "A" 
  • Commissioned Officers: Class "AA" 
  • Both uniforms should include hats if participating in the group photo which is held outside on the stairs in front of the church. 

All members, sworn and non-sworn, and their families are encouraged to attend.
