SFPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Traffic Collision in Richmond District #26-114

On September 28, 2026, at approximately 2:08 p.m., San Francisco Police officers from Richmond Station responded to the intersection of Anza Street and Arguello Blvd regarding a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

Officers arrived on scene and rendered aid to the injured pedestrian. Paramedics arrived on scene to transport the pedestrian to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite lifesaving efforts of first responders and medical personnel, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and was declared deceased at the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle involved remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. SFPD’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit (TCIU) is currently investigating this incident.
