Control
- Are you in possession of your own identification and travel documents?
- Are you being told what to say to community members, workers, law enforcement, or immigration officials? Is someone else controlling what you say?
- Are you free to contact friends or family without being coached or monitored on what to say?
Threats & Harm
- Are you being physically harmed in any way?
- Are you being threatened if you try to leave?
- Have you or your family members been threatened with harm if you attempt to leave?
- Have you been threatened with deportation or criminal charges?
Basic Needs & Conditions
- Have you been harmed or deprived of food, water, sleep, medical care, or other life necessities?
- Are you living in substandard housing?
Forced Acts
- Are you being forced or held unwillingly at your job or situation?
- Is anyone forcing you to do anything you do not want to do?
- Are you being forced to perform sex acts against your will?
- Are your wages being unlawfully held or garnished to pay off a debt or fee?
- Are you under the age of 18 and engaged in commercial sex?
Call 911 immediately if you have an emergency
