El Jueves 17 de Agosto 2006, Jesus Estrada fue baleado mientras que estaba parado en frente del parque en la cuadra 2900 de la Calle de Harrison. Guy Rice was able to drive down Excelsior, to avoid further shots before crashing his vehicle in the 200 block of Vienna Street. The victim died at the scene.
