Southern District Halloween Event

You're invited to join Southern District Station's Lil' Ones Halloween Event! This event is free and open to children 13 years old and younger. Pumpkins and candy will be provided while supplies last. We'll be joined by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Police Department, California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the Department of Homeland Security. 

Attendees can also expect an appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog and Chipper from the CHP!

Sergio Chin

Commander Chin has a strong conviction in this profession, uncompromised integrity, and a desire to continually evolve within a changing landscape. Commander Chin has spent most of his career working in the Field Operations and Investigations Bureau, which has provided invaluable experiences. He has worked in various neighborhood Stations such as Southern, Bayview, Ingleside, Northern, and Tenderloin. Commander Chin also spent many years in the Investigation Bureau, including General Work, Night Enforcement, Vice Crimes, and Night Investigations. Being a Chinese immigrant who was born and fled Mozambique during the revolution, he grew up in a multi-cultural environment with family speaking mostly Portuguese, Spanish, and Cantonese. He believes that collaborating and understanding the needs of our diverse communities and departments are key components necessary for our success.
