Catherine McGuire
Catherine McGuire grew up in Austin, Texas, but fell in love with San Francisco after visiting relatives who lived here. She later worked at the San Francisco Controller’s Office.
McGuire received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from The University of Texas at Austin. She got to know the SFPD while working at the Controller’s Office, where she was part of a team that managed the Police Executive Research Forum’s Organizational Assessment. She also led a team that developed an incident-tracking database for crime on public transportation, which helped prioritize resources to the highest-crime stops, routes and times. McGuire subsequently served as finance manager of the Juvenile Probation Department and then as the SFPD’s CFO. Her bureau supports the department by overseeing all Fiscal, Technology, and Change Management efforts.

The city's newest Public Safety Cameras are defined as any digital recording surveillance system installed at fixed locations in an open and obvious manner by the City and County of San Francisco to record public streets, sidewalks, or common areas of public housing complexes to enhance public safety.
National Testing Network (NTN) Workshop & Test

This event will be held on Saturday, February 8th, 2025 at City College of San Francisco. As a reminder, you must be eligible to take the NTN test which can only be taken once every 90 days.

Nicole Jones
Commander Nicole Jones is a San Francisco Bay Area native. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Jones joined the San Francisco Police Department in 2007.
During her career, Jones worked as an officer at Tenderloin and Ingleside Stations. Upon promotion to sergeant, Jones worked in Investigations at both the Special Victims Unit and the Internal Affairs – Criminal Investigations Unit. As a lieutenant, Jones served in administrative roles at both the Chief’s Office and the Staff Services Division’s Staffing and Deployment Unit. Additionally, she served as a patrol lieutenant at Northern Station. As Captain, Jones was in command of Ingleside Station. Upon promotion to Commander, Jones was assigned to the Administration Bureau. She is currently serving as Commander of the MTA Division.
