Southern District Halloween Event

You're invited to join Southern District Station's Lil' Ones Halloween Event! This event is free and open to children 13 years old and younger. Pumpkins and candy will be provided while supplies last. We'll be joined by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Police Department, California Highway Patrol (CHP), and the Department of Homeland Security. 

Attendees can also expect an appearance from McGruff the Crime Dog and Chipper from the CHP!

Nicole Jones

Deputy Chief Nicole Jones is a San Francisco Bay Area native. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. Jones joined the San Francisco Police Department in 2007.

During her career, Jones worked as an officer at Tenderloin and Ingleside Stations. Upon promotion to sergeant, Jones worked in Investigations at both the Special Victims Unit and the Internal Affairs – Criminal Investigations Unit. As a lieutenant, Jones served in administrative roles at both the Chief’s Office and the Staff Services Division’s Staffing and Deployment Unit. Additionally, she served as a patrol lieutenant at Northern Station. As Captain, Jones was in command of Ingleside Station. Upon promotion to Commander, Jones was assigned to the Administration Bureau, followed by the MTA Division.

In July 2025, she was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief and is currently assigned to the Administration Bureau.
