Northern Station Police Officer Appreciation Day

Northern Station Police Officer Appreciation Day will be held on Monday, June 24th. The event, which will be the first of its kind here at 1125 Fillmore Street, is an opportunity for the community at-large to join police management in recognizing the men and women who work every day in serving the several neighborhoods that is the Northern district.

The event will be an all-day affair, with a lunch kicking off at noon featuring cooking for the officers and their families by Mr. Hong Tan, a resident of the Northern district and owner of Broadway Prime in Burlingame. Sam Mohannam of BiRite Market will be providing ice cream for the special day. Several other merchants and shopkeepers of the district will also be stopping by and participating in the family friendly event. Officers are encouraged to bring their families to grab a bite to eat, enjoy the bouncy houses and listen to the music of 106.1 FM- KMEL DJ Marcus Banks from 4 to 6 pm at Northern Station.

Recognition, gratitude, familiarity and levity are all cornerstone elements upon which the public trust is built within the district. Officers enjoying their time off are encouraged to come in with their families to enjoy the day. Officers in service will be allowed to take their lunch break at the station and commingle with their co-workers and participating community members. Several officers will be recognized throughout the day for their dedication, service, and contributions to making the community safer.
